10th Anniversary Celebrations – Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd June 2014
It’s been 10 years since the new Areley Kings Village Hall first opened its doors to the public. Located on the Recreation Ground, it replaced the Parish Room which was on the land next to Taylors Newsagents. After two years of planning and fundraising, and costing over £600,000 the new hall opened its doors in April 2004.
It has professional stage facilities, solar panels and outside there is a popular playground. Today, the hall is thriving. It is the home to many community groups such as the Brownies, the W.I., a women’s book club and Areley Kings Players. It is a popular venue for parties, fairs and business meetings. It has hosted many professional arts events such as Shindig! and amateur performances from Stourport Choral Society. You can get fit at dance and yoga classes or make new friends at Areley Kings Wives or our popular Friendship group. It has become the hub of Areley Kings. The current trustees would like to thank all those, past and present who have worked so hard to make the hall a success. It is open daily and at competitive rates for both community and private users, and this could not be possible without the many hours given so generously by volunteers.
This was our amazing birthday cake made for us by Godfrey Philpotts.
